Each painting tells a story about light as it passes over and through different objects or substances, sometimes seen and sometimes unseen. Art to me is about time. Having spent years contemplating how I feel about what I see makes me realize that images are fleeting to say the least. My art tries to capture these moments of contemplation and to slow down the process. Time spent composing images then re-creating them is most gratifying. My hope is to share these moments and to encourage my viewers to appreciate the details in my work.
